Fair Stone is an international social standard for the natural stone industry. Its objective is to improve the working conditions in quarries and factories of emerging economies and to satisfy the demand of customers, media and civil society for decent conditions of global production and purchasing.
At the same time Fair Stone is a trade mark, a label to serve
our partners for marketing and thus to contribute to sustainable
and fair global trade in the natural stone industry.

Our Fair Stone Conference took place in Stuttgart,
November, 4th, 2010.
We welcomed our Advisory Board, some of our Fair Stone
Partners and other stakeholders. We appreciate all comments
and ideas!
Elin Chung, our Fair Stone Representative for China, has
already visited some of our Fair Stone Suppliers.
We also have received first reports of the Step by Step
Implementation Manual. Here you can
find a short evaluation.
Most Fair Stone Suppliers already have invested in PPE. Safety
Signs are hanged up and workers are getting trained.
Again we were present at the Xiamen Stone Fair. We focused on
the implementation process to strengthen the international
standard "Fair Stone" and support our partners. Therefore we
conduct a workshop
at the Xiamen Stone Fair. Furthermore you can download the Step

After the fair we visited some of our Fair Stone suppliers in
